More crimbo music… Or not?

Apparently not so in York Minster.

What’s the betting there’s a recording played over loudspeakers in lieu of the sacked campanologists? How about letting the bell tower remain silent out of respect for all those of other faiths, or none, in the city?

The recording can be played inside the minster for the benefit of those who can actually be arsed to go to church instead of enjoying the obscene commercial spend-fest and just pretending to see any religious connotation to it all.
