End of an error

(The heading is a quote from one of the regulars.)

I have been in The Beer Emporium for the last time this afternoon.

The new owner seems to think that customers with dogs are worth less than customers who claim to be allergic to dogs. Funny how said allergic customers have suddenly become more vociferous since the change of ownership… Not that the fact that the previous landlord had a dog had anything to do with it, or is that just me being cynical?

I don’t believe he is allergic to dogs anyway. If he was he wouldn’t have stood within inches of Harvey while giving me earache. He’s just scared of them, but doesn’t want people to know that so he pretends to have an allergic reaction. The dick head needs to brush up the pretence because it’s less than convincing.

I will possibly miss the variety of beer and the company of SOME of the customers but, to be honest, it’s no further to walk from home to Elworth than it is to walk from home to Sandbach town centre. It is also a far better walk for Harvey because he can be off the lead for more of the way.

The new landlord was saying “day two” because he took over yesterday… I didn’t go in yesterday so this was day one under the new ownership for me.

One and only.

In the meantime, I wish Steve and Yvonne a happy retirement.
