London & North Western Railway loco number 66 “Experiment” was built in 1905.

Today’s experiment is, I hope, more edible! Parsnips, carrots, butternut squash, sweet and chilli peppers, a tin of tomatoes, a tin of kidney beans and a small handful of mixed herbs. Not got a clue what it’s going to taste like, hence it being an experiment, but it already smells good as the medley is warming up in the slow cooker. The plan is to make half of it into a veggie cottage pie with a mashed potato topping to be baked in the oven for tonight’s tea and the other half will probably be made into a curry and left to fester for one night next week.
