Discrimination, good and bad

When used to bar any group for any reason (1) it is the worst of the worst but when used in the context of the second definition, for example telling the difference between good beer (real ale) and bad (mass produced fizzy piss), discrimination can be an indication of taste and intelligence.

I have every respect for Off Beat Brewery in Crewe, not because they are women competing in what is generally seen as a male dominated industry but because they make good beer. However, they would be well advised to rest on their laurels and not try bringing feminism into the equation.

The conversation continues, though my enthusiasm for the Crewe brewer’s products becomes diluted by their feminist attitude. There are plenty more beers to sample… And I wouldn’t be going to a women only beerfest anyway, would I?
