1914-1918. Now is not the right time!

“The war was, of course, an unspeakable tragedy, which robbed this nation of our bravest and best,” wrote Mr Gove.

In that case why are we marking the start of the war this year?

The start of any war should not be a matter for commemoration. The END of a war is what should be remembered, but the chances are that the ConDems will not still be in power in four years time (God help us if they are) so they’ll not be able to take the credit for those festivities.
