A trip down memory lane

Guide Lane to be precise. I took these photos at Guide Bridge station shortly before the wooden buildings and canopies on platforms two and three were demolished.

Apologies for the poor quality of the images, they were copied from prints originally taken with a cheap “Instamatic” camera. If the images are showing as thumbnails instead of full size please click to enlarge then use the back button to return to this page.

From P1

Platforms 2 and 3 buildings seen from platform 1.

From P4

The same buildings as seen from platform 4.

Same again, from further along the platform.

Goods shed from P3

The goods shed from platform 3 and, while we’re at the Stockport Junction end of the station, the running in boards on platforms 1 and 3, as seen from platform 4.
