OK, more peppered pig than the kids’ TV version.
As chilli is included in the website’s name I thought it was time we had some and, while I do appreciate a good veggie chilli, there is nothing to beat a bit of dead animal mixed in with beans and spices.
This one’s base is a pack of minced pork which was browned in the frying pan with the chopped contents of a pack of mixed chilli peppers while the other ingredients were mixed in the slow cooker.
Guess who’s been to Aldi this morning.
There’s no gain without pain so tears were shed while chopping an onion!
The whole is now simmering nicely and a lovely smell is drifting through from the kitchen as I type this.
